Spring time fun in Alabama!!!

We found out about the opening of the Butterfly pavilion at the Huntsville Botanical Garden and decided to take Becca today. She had a great time. Right now they also have "BIG BUGS" too. Here are a BUNCH of pictures of the bugs, butterflies and everything else we saw on Saturday. Enjoy!

Ready to Go:


Strapped into the stroller and ready to ride through the gardens!!! She was looking at me like come on mom can we go already.

This was the cutest little train that was there as we entered the garden. Becca really enjoyed watching it and listening to it when she couldn't see it.

Here is a better view of at least a portion of the track that they have set up.

The Childrens Garden

There was also a dianasour garden, but I didn't get any pictures of it.

This is a Wishing Well and yes Becca did get to "Make a Wish".

There were also entrances for Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear as well as their beads (but those pictures didn't turn out too well.



These next few are just some of the flowers that I thought were very pretty and wanted to share, enjoy.

The Big Bugs:

All over the garden they had these wooden bugs decoated by diffrent people/organizations and I really liked this one it's the flu bug.

This was the dragonfly that is at the entrance of the gardens.

There were a couple of other giant bugs around but somehow we missed them, but we didn't feel like going back to try to find them. We really enjoyed seeing the ones we did find though.

The turtles were in the btterfly pavillion; she really liked them too...but not as much as the butterflies.

I just thought this bench was too cute so I had to sit on it and get JD to take my picture.

Near the end of the walk through we found a couple of little benches. This was the best picture we could get of her sitting on it.

She didn't want to sit on the bench because she was too interested in all the butterflies flying around her. She got down off the bench and immediately went over and picked up this butterfly by the wing and then started to pull on both wings. Needless to say I stopped taking pictures and got the butterfly out of her hand and out of her reach, and unharmed if flew away.

After Lunch:

Just loved how these looked, and while I was taking a few pictures of them Becca walked over and started patting them and smelling them, take a look below.

She was so cute smelling the flowers. This was the first real time that she had been out of the stroller all all day and could really get close to the flowers. She had a great time looking at everything.

After lunch we just let her play in the area around the picnic tables and she found this tree and started patting the leaves!

Then she decided to try to give the tree a hug, it was so cute!

These were too pretty not to share.

Going Home

All worn out!!! She loves butterflies so much I just had to get one to take home and she would not let it go!

Unfortunately this was the ONLY nap she took yesterday was the ride home. She barley made it out of the park before she was out!

(and yes that was my finger in some of the pictures...my camera does not have a view finder so it was kind of hard to tell if my fingers were out of the way every time or not.)

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter!!!!!!

I didn't take any pictures of her in her Easter dress, but it is the same pink dress that we had her pictures taken in. After we got home from church we changed clothes and started the Easter egg hunt!!! She had a blast!!

She had fun hunting for the eggs but she had no idea that there was anything inside of them. She had been playing with Easter eggs for about a month but they didn't have anything in them. Needless to say she was just baffled when we helped her open them up and she found chocolate and money inside of them! She had fun putting the money into her new Butterfly bank too.

After lunch Mimi and Poppa had to go back to their house. Poppa came in Saturday night to pick Mimi up after spending the month with us after I injured my knee. I went to see a different doctor last week who thinks that it may have been my knee cap that popped out of place and is causing the pain and swelling that has continued for a month now (so much so that I have been unable to walk very well). This doctor put me in a different type of brace and has given me a different medication to help with the inflammation and if this new combination works then I will not have to have surgery, but if I am still having trouble walking and in pain in a month then he will go in and scope my knee then. I will update everyone in a month.

Saturday Afternoon In The Backyard

Saturday we were supposed to go to a Church picnic and Easter egg hunt, but JD started getting sick with a sinus infection so we sent him to the doctor and Becca, Mimi and I just crashed. Later that afternoon we decided to take her out back and let her play, we also hid a few eggs for her to find. We are planning on hunting even more Easter eggs next Sunday afternoon (this time with prizes inside).

When we first went out she and Buddy both went running to the back of the fence, they looked so cute.

Let the Hunting Begin!!!



She had a lot of fun looking around the backyard for the eggs and putting them in her basket. After she found all the eggs Mimi hid for her, she carried it all over the yard playing with it. We all had a great time watching her. She had fun running around and sitting on the swing!!!

This was the best I could get for you Aunt Carolyn. Thanks for the dress, Becca Loves it!!!! She looked so cute in it tonight!!

Update: Well I got the results from my MRI last Tuesday and I am not going to have to have surgery. The results were normal. So they told me to just take off the imobalizer and stop using the crutches. Then when I told them that I could not put weight on my leg without pain and that when ever I do that my knee gives out or at least feels like it will. So I started going to physical therapy last week. I will be going 2 days a week for the next 4 or 5 weeks and if I'm still having alot of pain I will have to go back to see him.

Rebecca and Her Tricycle

As I promised, here are the pictures of Becca actually riding on her tricycle (with the aid of Daddy). In the past few weeks she is even closer to reaching the petals. She sure has fun trying to ride it and even more fun when we push her on it.
