Fun With Friends

Bridgestreet Splash Pad with Mommy, Mrs. Emily, Noah, Benjamin, Mrs. Holly, and Harrison:

Harrison playing with the sprinkler, I think in this picture he was trying to get it back out of the ground.

I can't remember which one, but one of the twins playing with the sprinkler...this is where Harrison got the idea from.

For some reason Becca just didn't want to get out there an play in the water much.

This is about the farthest she got out to play this day...and this one wasn't working very well so really only her feet got wet. The other three kids were having a great time playing in the water and Becca just wanted to eat and watch I guess. She also didn't want to get very far from mommy either.

Harrison having fun in the water .

Noah and Benjamin playing in the water.

The Bridgestreet Splash Pad with Mrs. Emily:

One Tuesday morning. Emily took the boys and Becca up to the splash pad at one of the local shopping centers where they met Holly and Harrison to play and have lunch. Thanks to Holly for taking these pictures and sharing them with me since I had to be at work that day.

She LOVES the water!!!!

I just LOVE this picture, she just has the cutest little face and I love the little ringlets she gets when her hair is wet.

She took one of the boy's hats and put it on it was so cute!!

Laying down playing, too cute love the expression on her face in this one.

The boys had to lay down too!!! Though it is hard to tell if it was the twins or Becca who started this, but they all took turns laying in the water.

Harrison Loves the water too!!!

Play Date Fun at Our House:

About a month ago we had two of Becca's friends over for lunch and a play date. Also time for the other moms and I to spend some time together too. We all had a great time, and neither of her friends were ready to leave even though all three of them were completely worn out!!

Rebecca and Brody during the play date.

Brody, Becca, and Harrison in the pool. Harrison and Becca had a great time splashing in the pool, but we just couldn't get Brody to sit down; he just wanted to walk around.

As you can tell here this was Becca and Harrison's favorite activity of the day.

Before lunch we played all over the house, but what they had the most fun with was playing the jumper. Can you tell Harrison was having fun. Poor little guy didn't even have to jump because Brody and Becca bounced him all over that thing. Though I don't think he minded...all three of them were just giggling and squealing the entire time!!!

This is about the only picture I could get of all three of them. I just couldn't get them to look at me though. Oh well they were having fun!

Watch out Harrison, here comes Brody.

Harrison watching Brody ride on the pink 4-wheeler.

Brody made a bee line for that pink 4-wheeler, he just loves it and has to play with it every time he comes over.

Dinner at the Hester's:
One Saturday night the Hester's had us as well as Derrick, Holly, and Harrison over for dinner and to let the kids play. Here are a few pictures of the kiddos having fun in the backyard after dinner.
I wish I would have put these in order, but here you can see Becca at the top of the ladder of Brooke's swing set.

Here she is starting to clime up the ladder. Before this we had just been putting her up on top of the slide, but she had been watching Brook climbing so she thought she'd try it out too. We weren't too sure about letting her, but also wanted to see what she'd do. Thanks to Holly who saw her and stood behind her to make sure she didn't fall (and she never did, even with Brooke trying to clime up the ladder at the same time).

Here you can see how excited she was to be going down the slide, and there's Paula cheering her on too.

This was one of the first times she went down the slide and she wasn't too sure about it, but when she got off she wanted to go again and again and again...!

Becca just checking everything out, and Brooke climbing up the ladder.

Brooke, Becca, and Harrison LOVED being pulled around the yard in the waggon, they loved it so much that David, Derrick and JD had to take turns running them around the yard.

Brooke even got in on the fun and pulled Becca and Harrison around. For a while until she decided she wanted to ride too.

Grandmother's 96th Birthday Weekend

Every year for Grandmother's Birthday weekend we all get together in Moultan, AL to celebrate. This year she turned 96. Most of us were able to be there at least for a little while during the weekend. Her nephew and his wife even brought her sister, Aunt Mildred, over from Oklahoma to see her for the weekend. We had a great time with everyone. We also got to meet the newest addition to the family and Grandmother's first Great-great grandchild, baby Truitt. Rebecca had a great time playing with all her aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. I didn't get a picture of it, but she slept on an air mattress on the floor in our bedroom for the first time too.

By the time we got this picture Becca was fed up with pictures and just wanted to go play with her cousins. But here is Richard, Judy, Grandmother, JD, and myself.

Here is a four generation picture!

Here is a picture of Grandmother with her grandson and her great-granddaughter too.

Here are the two sisters, they were so happy to spend time together!!!

Here is grandmother posing with her birthday cake.

Becca and the baby cow. She loves cows, but was a little scared to pet this one. Though she kept talking about the cow and watching it.

Now she saw that there was a pony still in the pin. She was fascinated by that too.

This is about the only picture of just the two of us since Becca was born.

Becca and her Grandaddy!!! To bad neither one of them would smile!!!

Look Mom I Can Dress Myself

One afternoon after her nap this is how I found her. I had forgotten to put her night gown in the dirty clothes that morning so she decided she would put it on herself. Especially since it has Dorah on it!!!

Swimming For The First Time This Summer

I found her a bigger pool for this summer. This one is bigger, has a sprinkler, a slide, and toys to play with. I found it on sale at work and was able to use my discount too so it turned out GREAT!!! She had a lot of fun last year in her other pool, but this one I thought she might have even more fun with and we may turn the old one into a ball pit. Since it was warmer today and not storming I put the pool out this morning and filled it up so that the water would be at least kind of warm for her later this afternoon after her nap. When we got home from running a few errands and she got up from her nap I told her that she was going to get to go swimming and she got all excited. She even started saying "swimming". These days she is learning new words every day!!! After I got her ready we went out side and before I could even put everything down and get the door shut she was already running to the pool and jumping into it!!!! She had a FUN time!!!!! I think we stayed out there for over and hour just playing and running around. It is supposed to be nice most of the rest of the week so we will probably make good use of the pool the rest of the week too. If it is not storming on Saturday she may even get to go swimming with her little cousin Ella Tate...she will at least get to see her and play with her older cousins and meet her youngest cousin Baby Truitt as well. Enjoy the pictures of Becca enjoying her new pool!!!

All ready to go swimming!!!

This was right after I turned on the sprinkler! She had so much fun playing in the water!!

Playing yet again with the sprinkler!!!

Just too cute of a pose!!!

She enjoyed "experimenting" with what happened when you press down on the sides of the pool.

Can you tell she liked putting her face in the sprinkler???

After Surgery

I did end up having knee surgery. The Dr found some issues with the cartilage, hopefully this will take care of most if not all of my problems. This is how I found Becca and Daddy when I woke up Friday evening after my surgery. She had taken a pretty good nap over at Alissa's, but was still sleepy since we had to get up so early (we had to drop her off about 7:45) but she didn't want to take another nap, but ended up falling asleep on Daddy.

I was hurting too badly and was told by my doctor to stay home until at least Monday so I stayed home and Daddy and Becca went to church and they ended up wearing the same color yellow and looked so cute together I just had to take a few pictures.

Finger Painting

I got Becca a Crayola wonders finger painting set a few weeks ago to let her try it out and she had a blast!! Enjoy!
